Over 11,000 Prisoners In Dubai Freed!

Due to the generous donations of philanthropists across UAE, over 11,000 prisoners in Dubai are being freed by the Dubai police. A collective debt of over AED 16 million has been cleared under their names and they are being given a second chance at life. 
“In this spirit, we are keen on strengthening social responsibility to help inmates improve their conditions and solve their financial and social problems,” said Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Shamali, director of the General Department of Corrections and Punitive Establishments at the Dubai Police. 
With their release, Dubai police is adopting a method of tolerance and giving a chance for prisoners to get a fresh start once again. During their release, the authorities made sure that the prisoners will be working towards making their lives better and starting new jobs with government organizations or helping out the society.
