How To Get An Instagram/Facebook Verified Profile?

Good people of the UAE, you may have to wait a little longer as the subscription service is initially rolling out only in New Zealand and Australia, with the company planning to extend it to more countries soon. The move is designed to provide a new revenue channel for the company, which has previously been free for most of its services. Meta Verified aims to increase authenticity and security across its services by offering users increased visibility, protection against impersonation attacks, and direct access to customer support.

The introduction of a subscription service follows in the footsteps of social media rivals, such as Snap, which launched its own subscription service last year, and Elon Musk, who revamped Twitter’s subscription service, Twitter Blue, to offer a range of additional features, including the blue check mark. However, Musk has also been critical of Facebook services, arguing that the feature should be open to all. Twitter has expanded Twitter Blue to over a dozen markets in recent months, but as of mid-January, only about 180,000 accounts had signed up.

Who Can Apply For An Instagram/Facebook Verified Profile?

Meta has pledged to build a subscription offering that is valuable to everyone, including creators, businesses, and its community at large.

However, the move comes as the company has faced a harsh market response to its grand metaverse vision and has reportedly laid off about 11,000 employees in the past two months. Meta’s shares have rebounded in recent weeks, and the company is planning to cut down its spending on metaverse ambitions. The launch of Meta Verified is part of Meta’s strategy to find its own religion on efficiency and profitability, according to analysts at Bernstein.
