Paris Now Has The World’s Highest Ice Rink!

A massive ice rink is being placed atop one of Paris’s biggest towers. From February 5th the roof terrace of the Tour Montparnasse will be dedicated to an ice rink. This arena will be about 210 meters above street level and it will have an area of 230-square-metre.

Fortunately, it’s not as deadly as it sounds. The rink, designed by BOAZ Concept, features high sides and a good barrier zone. It also has a “food nook” and, of course, breathtaking views of the City of Light.

While the Montparnasse rink is not unsafe, it will most likely be freezing. Bring a coat (or many), some ski gloves, and maybe a balaclava, and prepare to zoom about the ice. Skating is also reasonably priced. Thirty-minute sessions range in price from €11 to €23 (AED 47-AED 97), based on age and payment type. The Montparnasse ice rink will be open from February 5 to March 6.
