New Year Firework Show In Abu Dhabi Of 40-Min Long Will Set 3 New Guinness World Records

The UAE capital intends to ring in the New Year with a bang. With a 40-minute fireworks show to greet 2022, the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi will set three Guinness World Records.

The stunning fireworks display will take place as part of the New Year Eve events in Al Wathba, according to the Festival’s Higher Organising Committee.

The fireworks will set new world records for loudness, duration, and shape. Last year, the Festival broke two records with 35-minute fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve.

In addition, for the first time, the drone display will write ‘Welcome 2022’ in the sky. According to the organisers, such a component in the drone display would be a world first. Concerts by Emirati vocalist Eida Al Menhali and Iraqi musician Ali Saber will precede the fireworks.

Aside from these, there will be a slew of additional events, dances, and activities for people of all ages to enjoy as they welcome the new year.

The Festival, which will run through April 1, 2022, will promote the UAE’s legacy and civilisation, with the goal of elevating Abu Dhabi’s standing as a premier tourism and cultural destination in the region.
