Dubai’s Biggest Sports and Entertainment Weekend Just Got Two Huge Music Acts. If you thought Emirates Dubai 7s was just about rugby, think again. The three-day sports and entertainment festival is returning to The Sevens Stadium from 27–29 November 2026, and the first two major music acts have officially been announced.
Spice Girls star Melanie C and international DJ and producer Jax Jones will headline the festival’s popular Beats on 2 stage, bringing two nights of dance music to one of Dubai’s biggest annual sporting events.
Melanie C takes over on Saturday, 28 November, followed by Jax Jones on Sunday, 29 November, with more international and local artists still to be announced.
And with three-day passes starting from AED 595, this is shaping up to be considerably more than your average weekend watching sport.
Melanie C Is Bringing Spice Girls Nostalgia and Ibiza Energy to Dubai
For anyone who grew up in the ’90s, Melanie C needs very little introduction.
As Sporty Spice, she became one fifth of the Spice Girls, one of the most successful girl groups in music history, before going on to build a successful solo career.
But these days, she’s also a seriously established DJ.
Her sets combine house, techno, disco and euphoric club classics, drawing on a lifelong passion for dance music.
She’s recently completed her fifth year performing at the legendary Pacha Ibiza, while her DJ career has also taken her to major events including Coachella, the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix and the TCS London Marathon.
So while there’s plenty of Spice Girls nostalgia attached to her name, don’t expect a Spice Girls tribute show.
Melanie C will be behind the decks on Saturday, 28 November, bringing her club-focused sound to Beats on 2.

Jax Jones Takes Over on Sunday
If Saturday belongs to Melanie C, Sunday is all about Jax Jones.
The British DJ and producer has become one of dance music’s biggest names, with a catalogue of tracks that have dominated clubs, festivals and radio stations around the world.
You’ll almost certainly recognise hits including “You Don’t Know Me”, “Breathe” and “Harder”.
Jones first rose to prominence in 2014 after featuring on Duke Dumont’s UK chart-topping track “I Got U”, before establishing himself as a major artist in his own right.
Since then, he’s accumulated more than nine billion streams and sold over 60 million singles, collaborating with artists including Demi Lovato, RAYE and Years & Years.
He’s also received nominations at major music awards including the BRITs, Grammys and Ivor Novellos.
Jax Jones headlines Beats on 2 on Sunday, 29 November, bringing the festival weekend to a close with a proper dance music party.
Beats on 2 Is Becoming a Festival Within a Festival
Anyone who’s attended Emirates Dubai 7s before will know that the action doesn’t stop when the rugby finishes.
Beats on 2 has become one of the festival’s biggest entertainment attractions, combining international DJs, live music, bars and a party atmosphere alongside the sporting action on Pitch 2.
Last year’s headliners included Tinie Tempah and DJ EZ, and the arrival of Melanie C and Jax Jones continues the festival’s push to attract major international music talent.
Festival Director Mathew Tait explained that while rugby remains central to the event, Emirates Dubai 7s has evolved into a much broader three-day entertainment experience.
And the lineup isn’t finished yet.
More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, meaning these two headline acts are only the beginning.
There’s Some Serious Rugby Happening Too
Of course, the sporting side of Emirates Dubai 7s remains a huge part of the weekend.
This year’s event will officially kick off the 2027 HSBC SVNS season, bringing some of the world’s best men’s and women’s rugby sevens players to Dubai.
The tournament marks the opening stop on an international calendar that will later travel to destinations including Cape Town, Singapore, Perth, Vancouver and New York.
Beyond the professional rugby, the festival will also feature amateur competitions across rugby, cricket, netball, padel and fitness.
And there’s a new addition this year.
Gaelic football will make its Emirates Dubai 7s debut, adding another sport to an already packed programme.
Families Haven’t Been Forgotten Either
While the international DJs will undoubtedly attract the party crowd, Emirates Dubai 7s is still designed to be a family-friendly weekend.
To mark the UAE’s Year of the Family, The Sevens Stadium will introduce its biggest Kids’ Zone to date, alongside attractions including a Ferris wheel and zipline.
The event also takes place during the final weekend of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, giving the festival another connection to Dubai’s wider sporting calendar.
So whether you’re heading down for rugby, music, family entertainment or a combination of all three, there’s plenty happening across the weekend.
Tickets Start From Just AED 75
One of the best things about Emirates Dubai 7s is that there are several ticket options depending on how much of the festival you want to experience.

For anyone planning to make a full weekend of it, a three-day General Admission pass costs AED 595.

The Gulf Buzz Take
Emirates Dubai 7s has always been one of those weekends where you can arrive planning to watch a bit of rugby and somehow find yourself dancing until the end of the night.
And this year’s first music announcements are giving us two very good reasons to do exactly that.
Melanie C brings the Spice Girls nostalgia with a proper Ibiza-inspired DJ set, while Jax Jones delivers the modern dance anthems that have dominated clubs and festivals for the past decade.
Throw in world-class rugby, amateur sports, family entertainment, a Ferris wheel, zipline and three days of festival atmosphere, and it’s easy to see why Dubai 7s has become much more than a sporting event.
And with more artists still to be announced, the biggest surprises might still be to come.
