From fireworks to shopping events, the city of Dubai has a lot lined up for the Indian ‘Festival of Lights’. Diwali is one of the major festivals of India. Hindus from all around the world celebrate it with sweets and lots of gifts. Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “Dubai’s Diwali celebrations showcase what a great and culturally diverse city Dubai is, and how much there is on offer for residents and visitors alike. Diwali is the perfect start to the festive season and will showcase the city’s status as a truly world-class retail and entertainment destination.”
Fireworks:
On 29th October at 8.30 pm Dubai Fitness Challenge Opening Fireworks will happen on the Jumeirah Beach, just behind the sunset mall. On 4th November at 8.30 pm, spectacular fireworks will take place on Bluewaters which overlooks the Dubai Marina.
Dubai Festival City Mall and Global Village (Global Village Weekend Fireworks) are putting up amazing fireworks show on 4th November at 9.30 pm and 26th October to 13th November at 9:00 pm every Thursday and Friday respectively.
Festive Menu & Complimentary Menu:
Dhaba Lane: The vegetarian Menu is priced at 52 AED, and the Non-Vegetarian platter is 55 AED. Available all day, Sunday to Wednesday, from Sunday, 24th October till 30th November On weekends, the festive menu is available as Ala-carte.
India Bistro World Trade Center: The special Diwali menu includes two chaats, two grills, two mains, bread, biryani and a dessert. Available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, the tempting dishes on the festive menu include pani puri, samosa chaat, peri-peri chicken, zaituni paneer tikka, burrata butter chicken, railway mutton curry, chicken tikka masala, Daal Makhni, purvaanchal ka saag, assorted bread, Dum Biryani, Slow Cooked Chicken Awadh Biryani and Gulab Juman. Priced at AED 89. India Bistro Sharjah: On the occasion of Diwali, the restaurant will be offering a complimentary dessert of Phirni Kesar Da at every table from 3rd November -6th November for lunch and dinner.
