At The Dubai Air Show, A Personal Plane With A Rooftop Deck & A Garage Was On Display

Lufthansa Technik AG will be providing further details about its innovative wide-body VIP cabin design EXPLORER at the forthcoming Dubai Airshow. Following a sneak peek at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, various additional features will now be on exhibit at the United Arab Emirates aerospace trade show. These are elements that, because of advancements in technology, can now be implemented in an attractive and high-quality manner.

The EXPLORER design idea is based on the current trend for superyachts that satisfy two demands for their owners: to take them practically anywhere at any time and to serve them as an individual hotel and base camp for a wide range of leisure activities and excursions at their destination. The professionals at Lufthansa Technik have chosen the Airbus A330 as the basis for implementing these client desires in private aviation. As a traditional wide-body aircraft, it provides enough space for a huge variety of unique cabin concepts, as well as enough range to meet the particular needs of the EXPLORER target group.

“We came up with the idea to show an aircraft which is like a flying hotel so that guests who are chartering the aircraft can have a round-the-world trip in two weeks,” says Wieland Timm, head of sales for VIP & special mission aircraft at Lufthansa Technik.
