For vaccinated passengers flying to Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways verified that no pre-departure PCR testing was necessary. Those who have not been fully vaccinated with a UAE-approved jab must nevertheless provide a negative PCR certificate acquired within 48 hours.

According to a notice on Etihad’s website, travellers travelling to Abu Dhabi would no longer be required to do an on-arrival PCR test in the airport, regardless of vaccination status. This upgrade implies that you may now go to Abu Dhabi without having to undergo any PCR testing (as long as you’re vaccinated; otherwise, pre-departure tests will be necessary).
Anyone flying into Abu Dhabi should still check the etihad.com/en-ae/travel-updates/ website before flying to ensure they have the most up-to-date requirements. It is also worth noting that the Alhosn Green Pass is still necessary for admission into practically all of Abu Dhabi’s public venues.
