Qasr Al Watan, the great ‘Palace of the Nation,’ is located at one end of the city’s major seafront. It is, by all accounts, a newbie to the UAE’s historical scene, having opened its magnificent doors to the public in 2019, yet it has already established itself as one of the country’s most valuable cultural pearls.

The attractions cost AED 60 to enter and contain a mix of academic and insightful experiences. Here you will find a library, a ‘house of knowledge’ (which talks about UAE’s rich history), architectural masterwork and the great hall. There’s also a daily Palace in Motion Sound and Light performance (adults AED 25, children AED 12). An explosion of entertainment that exposes stories from the country’s past, present, and future.

Here is something new for this year! Al Barza, the newest addition to Qasr Al Watan’s stunning portfolio, is now accessible to the public. Al Barza is an ‘informal’ Emirati Majlis, traditionally a location where rulers would communicate with their subjects, discussing and sharing expertise on political and community governance issues.

The vast area, located behind the Great Hall, can comfortably accommodate 300 guests, who’ll be able to understand the majlis’ history and how it played a key part in the establishment of the UAE’s administrative framework.
