The National Aquarium is opening next week in Al Qana in Abu Dhabi. Next Friday (12th November) is the opening day of the National Aquarium. This place will be the home to 46,000 creatures including 200 sharks and rays. Also not only aquatic but you will even find some land animals and birds here. It is also the home to the super snake, a snake that is 115 kg in weight and needs 12 people to hold it. Cownose rays, tiger sharks, eagle rays and blacktip reef sharks are just some of the aquatic animals that you will get to see here.
“This will bring the excitement and wonder of the oceans to the doorsteps of Abu Dhabi’s community and visitors from all around the world,” said Paul Hamilton, general manager of The National Aquarium. “People across the UAE are becoming more conscious of how they can look after the environment around them, to ensure that the habitats and ecosystems of animals are safeguarded for generations to come.
