Good news, UAE residents! If you’ve been anxiously waiting to see whether petrol prices would spike or drop during the Eid holidays, the suspense is finally over. And it’s good news at the pump! April’s fuel prices have officially been announced, and guess what? They’ve gone down!
That means if you were on the fence about planning a road trip, a scenic drive to the mountains, or even just a casual outing with family and friends, you can now hit the roads without the usual fuel price worries. No need to do the mental math every time you fill up – this month, your tank (and your wallet) will smile a little wider!
Fuel Prices Drop For April 2025
The UAE’s Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure has revealed the revised petrol prices for April, reflecting the decline in global oil rates over the past month.
Here’s what’s changing:
Super 98 petrol will now cost AED 2.57 per litre, down from AED 2.73 in March. Special 95 petrol has also dropped to AED 2.46 per litre, compared to AED 2.61 last month.
Meanwhile, E-Plus 91 petrol is priced at AED 2.38 per litre, down from AED 2.54, and diesel has dipped to AED 2.63 per litre, compared to AED 2.77 in March.
Now, let’s look at what full tank prices look like for compact cars, sedans and larger vehicles. In April, the full tank cost for Super 98 petrol for compact cars is AED 131.07, down from AED 139.23 in March. Special 95 petrol is AED 125.46, down from AED 133.11, and E-plus 91 petrol is AED 121.38, compared to AED 129.54 last month for compact cars, which has an average fuel tank capacity of 51 liters.
For a sedan, the full tank cost for Super 98 petrol is AED 159.34, a decrease from AED 169.26 in March. Special 95 petrol for sedan is Dh152.52, down from AED 161.82, and E-plus 91 petrol is AED 147.56, compared to AED 157.48 last month, with an average fuel tank capacity of 62 litres.
For SUVs, Super 98 petrol is AED 190.18, reduced from AED 202.02 in March, while Special 95 petrol is AED 182.04, down from AED 193.14, and E-plus 91 petrol is AED 176.12, compared to AED 187.96 in March. This is while assuming that the average fuel tank capacity of an SUV is approximately 74 litres.

With lower prices now confirmed, residents can make the most of the holidays, hit the highways, and enjoy stress-free drives without burning a hole in their pockets.
