And on today’s list I’m showing you Sharjah’s stunning new Hanging Gardens. Located in the vibrant city of Kalba, this colossal park was inaugurated by none other than Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on March 8th. This monumental project, sprawling across the Sharjah-Kalba Road, introduces an immersive experience set against the backdrop of lush greenery, artistic landscapes, and thrilling attractions. so, come with me and I’ll tell you all the amazing details you need to know about it.

A Majestic Oasis In The Heart Of UAE

Towering at an impressive 281 meters above sea level, the Hanging Gardens cover an expansive 1.6 million square feet and boast over 100,000 trees. Dr Sheikh Sultan, the visionary behind the project, took the lead in exploring the wonders within, inspecting its aesthetic elements with keen interest. Green spaces, flower-adorned terraces, and cascading waterfalls captivated his attention, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.

The Grand Inauguration Day

During the inauguration, attendees were treated to a delightful musical performance by school students, expressing their love and appreciation for this breathtaking addition to Kalba. Dr Sheikh Sultan’s walk through the gardens unfolded as a visual and auditory feast, where the harmony of nature intertwined seamlessly with the tunes of young talents.

An Adventure Space For Everyone

Adventure awaits within the Hanging Gardens, with mountain climbing routes of varying difficulty levels, a designated arena for professional skaters, and a mesmerizing 24,000-square-foot excursion train track. The train, capable of carrying 55 passengers, spans 820 meters and features four stations strategically placed within the garden, offering visitors an opportunity to explore different facets of this natural wonder.

Elevated Dining With A View

Ascending to the upper levels of the Hanging Gardens, Dr Sheikh Sultan created a restaurant building using traditional wooden architecture. Located 270 meters above sea level, this restaurant accommodates 100 guests, providing a panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes, making every dining experience truly memorable.

The Hanging Gardens promise not only leisure and enjoyment but also contribute significantly to tourism and economic activity, adding substantial value to the city’s ongoing projects.
