Three Brand-New Zones You Need to Check Out
Every year GameExpo brings something new to the table, and 2026 is no different. These 3 new zones are making their debut:
1. Neo Tokyo District: If you’re an anime fan, this is going to be the place for you. Think futuristic installations, interactive experiences, themed photo ops, and merch from your favourite franchises like Naruto, One Piece, and Death Note. It’s immersive, it’s aesthetic, and yes, it’s very photogenic.
2. Jetour Velocity Garage: Speed demons can enjoy 20+ sim racing machines and world-class virtual tracks to the floor. Race your friends, watch the pros go head-to-head in the SIMR sim racing finals. And here’s the best bit, every ticket holder is automatically entered into a draw to win a brand-new car. You literally just have to show up.
3. Amazon Battle Arena: This indoor laser tag experience set in an abandoned urban battlefield with maze-style gameplay and tactical missions. Whether you’re strategising with your squad or just running around trying not to get hit, it’s going to be a good time.
All The Zones Worth Exploring
Beyond the new additions, GameExpo is packed with zones that cover every corner of gaming culture. There’s genuinely something for every type of person walking through those doors.
- Main Arena: This is where the big energy lives. Esports tournaments, influencer showdowns, cosplay catwalks, and live entertainment running back to back.
- Gaming District:Your go-to for hands-on play, with 100+ devices loaded up with titles like EA FC 26, Valorant, Fortnite, League of Legends, Tekken 8, and more across PC and console.
- Family Zone: Bringing the kids or coming with family? This zone has games and activities for all-ages. Plus Modesh and Dana meet-and-greets for the little ones.
- The Future Lab: Tech enthusiasts can dive into AI, robotics, VR, and interactive STEM experiences designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, here.
- Cosplay Village: Brought to GameExpo in partnership with Comicave, this dedicated space is for all things cosplay. Which means entertainment, programming, and loads of photo moments.
- Just Dance Stage: Back for live dance-offs!
- Retro Zone: Bringing the classics with pinball and arcade machines.
- The Narrows: This marketplace is returning with 80+ artists, collectors, and local vendors to browse through.
- The Dubai Cosplay Championship – AED 50,000 on the Line
AED 50,000 On The Line – The Dubai Cosplay Championship
Cosplayers, this is your moment. On 7 June, the Dubai Cosplay Championship takes over the Main Arena with a massive AED 50,000 prize pool and free registration across Pro, Novice, and Junior categories. Not entering but still want to come dressed up? Go for it. You can come in costume on 5 and 6 June with no competition entry needed. Either way, the fits are going to be incredible.
Food? Sorted.
You can’t game on an empty stomach, and GameExpo knows that. Two dedicated talabat food and beverage zones with 20+ food trucks and stalls will be set up across the venue, so there’s plenty to grab between sessions whether you want a full meal or just a quick snack to keep you going.
