The Municipality Department of Ras Al Khaimah has banned all kinds of camping on public beaches in RAK. They claim that those who camp on the beach detract from the emirate’s overall image. Others, they claim, will be unable to enjoy public spaces as much. There are lots of legal ways to enjoy Ras Al Khaimah’s beautiful beaches, however, you will have to pay for the cost of camping.

According to the municipality, “camping on public beaches distorted the emirate’s appearance by shutting off areas, trespassing on public property, and denying beachgoers the ability to enjoy the public spaces without interruption.”
