Dubai’s Alfresco Season Is Back – And Fairmont The Palm Has Six Reasons to Visit
The weather is finally cooling down, Dubai’s outdoor season is returning and Fairmont The Palm is making sure there’s plenty happening on Palm Jumeirah this October.
From a brand-new outdoor brunch featuring five of the resort’s restaurants to private beachfront picnics, Italian dining nights, family wellness experiences and two very different Halloween celebrations, the hotel has introduced a packed calendar of activities for the month.
And whether you’re planning a weekend brunch, family outing, date night or simply an excuse to spend an afternoon by the beach, there’s something worth checking out.
Here’s what’s happening.
Five Restaurants, Five Chefs & One Great Garden Brunch
Let’s start with the big one.
From Saturday, 24 October, Fairmont The Palm is introducing The Great Garden Brunch, bringing together five of its restaurants for one outdoor dining experience.
And this isn’t your typical hotel buffet.
The brunch combines the culinary talents of Flow Kitchen, Bā – Boldly Asian, Frevo, Little Miss India and Seagrill Bistro, with each restaurant’s head chef showcasing signature dishes and live cooking experiences.
Essentially, you can move between five different culinary concepts without leaving the garden.
Expect a variety of international flavours, with each restaurant bringing its own culinary identity to the experience, all served in a relaxed outdoor setting.
But the food is only part of the afternoon.
There will also be a live singer, DJ, table-side magic and dedicated children’s activities, making it a particularly good option for families or groups with different tastes.
When: From 24 October, 1pm–4:30pm
Packages: AED 350 with soft drinks, AED 450 with alcoholic beverages or AED 550 with bubbly.
BASK Beach Club Is Introducing Private Cabana Picnics
If your idea of a perfect afternoon involves a private cabana, sea views and somebody else preparing the food, BASK Beach Club has something new.
From 16 October, guests can enjoy a specially curated picnic experience served exclusively inside the beach club’s private cabanas overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
The experience begins with a welcome box before a picnic basket arrives filled with a selection of sweet and savoury dishes.
Expect compressed melon and seasonal berries, shrimp cocktail salad, caramelised fig and goat cheese salad, artisanal cheeses, plus a choice of charcuterie or smoked salmon.
There’s also freshly baked bread, two fresh juices and a frozen coconut and vanilla rocher to finish.
It’s essentially a beach picnic with all the preparation taken care of, and a considerably more comfortable setting than sitting on a blanket in the sand.
Available daily from 7am to 7pm, the experience costs AED 395 per basket.
Tuesday Nights Are All About Italy at Flow Kitchen
You don’t have to wait until the weekend to find something happening.
Every Tuesday, Flow Kitchen is bringing a taste of Italy to Palm Jumeirah with a dedicated Italian dining evening.
The menu celebrates familiar Italian favourites, including freshly prepared antipasti, handcrafted pasta, wood-fired pizzas and traditional regional specialities.
And because no Italian feast is complete without dessert, there’s also a dedicated gelato station.
Throw in lively Italian entertainment and you’ve got a relaxed midweek dinner option that works equally well for families, friends or anyone craving a proper Italian spread.
When: Every Tuesday, 6pm–10:30pm
Price: From AED 225, including buffet and soft beverages.
House Beverage Package: From AED 350, including buffet and two hours of house beverages.
BĀ After Dark Is Throwing a Halloween Brunch With Unlimited Food and Live DJs
Now, if your idea of Halloween involves fewer trick-or-treaters and considerably more cocktails, BĀ – Boldly Asian has something worth adding to your calendar.
On Friday, 30 October, the restaurant is hosting a special BĀ After Dark Halloween Brunch, combining bold Asian flavours, themed cocktails and hypnotic beats for a night of food, music and mischief.
Running from 8pm to 11pm, the three-hour experience promises a mysterious Halloween atmosphere, with live DJ entertainment setting the soundtrack for the evening.
And with unlimited food included across all three packages, there’s plenty of opportunity to work your way through the restaurant’s Asian-inspired dishes while enjoying the entertainment.
There are three packages to choose from:
Soft Package – AED 250: Unlimited food, non-alcoholic beverages and teatails.
House Package – AED 395: Unlimited food, selected beers, wines and spirits.
Platinum Package – AED 495: Unlimited food, selected beers and wines, plus selected Bold Brunch cocktails and spirits.
Whether you’re planning a Halloween night out with friends or simply fancy a different kind of Friday brunch, this one combines dinner, drinks and a party atmosphere without needing to change venues.
When: Friday, 30 October, 8pm–11pm
Price: AED 250–495 per person.
Halloween Is Also Getting A Sophisticated Makeover At Mashrabiya Lounge
If you’re looking for something a little more family-friendly, Mashrabiya Lounge is putting a spooky twist on its traditional afternoon tea.
From 26 October to 1 November, the lounge will serve a specially created Halloween Afternoon Tea, combining seasonal treats with the hotel’s signature afternoon tea experience.
Rather than going down the full haunted-house route, the concept takes a more playful approach to Halloween, with themed creations served in Mashrabiya’s relaxed surroundings.
It’s designed for both adults and children, making it an easy option for a family Halloween outing that doesn’t involve jump scares or wandering around a shopping mall.
- When: 26 October – 1 November, 12pm–8pm
- Price: AED 195
You Can Even Book A Private Family Wellness Experience
Wellness doesn’t always have to be something you do alone.
At Serenity – The Art of Well Being, Fairmont The Palm is offering Aurum Suite for Families, a private wellness experience designed to help families unwind together.
The 60-minute session takes place inside Serenity’s exclusive Aurum Suite, offering a peaceful setting where families can step away from their usual routines and enjoy some uninterrupted time together.
The experience also introduces guests to Serenity’s wider wellness philosophy and the restorative traditions of the hammam.
It’s a different option for families looking to spend quality time together without the usual restaurants, cinemas or entertainment attractions.

The Gulf Buzz Take
October is one of those months when Dubai suddenly remembers how much better everything feels outdoors.
And Fairmont The Palm is making the most of it.
The Great Garden Brunch is probably the headline attraction, particularly with five restaurants coming together for one afternoon. But the AED 395 beachfront picnic at BASK is an interesting alternative for anyone who prefers something more relaxed.
And with Halloween around the corner, the hotel is catering to two very different crowds. BĀ After Dark is bringing unlimited Asian dining, cocktails and DJs to the evening, while Mashrabiya Lounge offers something a little more family-friendly with its themed afternoon tea.
Add in Italian dining nights and private family wellness sessions, and there’s a pretty good reason to visit regardless of whether you’re planning a big weekend or something quieter.
If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to get back outside and enjoy Dubai’s cooler weather, Fairmont The Palm has just given you six.
