Art That Moves – Literally
This year, Perform Sharjah isn’t confined to theatres. Instead, it spills out into public spaces, old schools, lakes, and community hubs across Sharjah and Khorfakkan. Every performance begins at 8.30pm, and want to know the best part? It’s completely free! Expect thought-provoking theatre, contemporary dance, immersive storytelling, and live music that blend seamlessly with each unique location. It’s a reminder that art isn’t just to be seen — it’s to be felt, shared, and lived.
Highlights You Don’t Want To Miss
1. Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead – by Muhanad Kareem
Kicking things off at Africa Hall, Al Manakh, this gripping stage adaptation of Olga Tokarczuk’s novel takes you deep into a mysterious forest village where humanity and nature clash. With its striking minimalism and haunting themes, it’s a reflection on cruelty, revenge, and the thin line between the natural and the human world.

2. Every Brilliant Thing – by Ahmed El Attar
Back by popular demand, this hit from Perform Sharjah’s first edition returns to Aljada, Sharjah, and Khorfakkan Amphitheatre. Featuring actress Nanda Mohammad, it’s an interactive performance that turns the audience into part of the story. Through humour and heartfelt moments, it explores how even in life’s darkest moments, small joys (every brilliant thing) can light the way.
Happening at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre from November 1–2.
3. Music on the Barge – A Floating Concert Series
Yes, you read that right. Khalid Lake is transforming into a floating stage for three nights of music under the stars! Bring your friends, grab a spot by the water, and enjoy live acts from Ruhaniyat (Nov 7), ADIGA (Nov 8), and Noon Band (Nov 9). It’s an experience that perfectly captures Sharjah’s creative energy. Bold, inclusive, and full of life.
Happening at Khalid Lake, Sharjah on November 7–9.

4. Searching For Love – by Nanda Mohammad
This lyrical duet of music and poetry unfolds between Nanda Mohammad and violinist Mohammed Sami, exploring love, distance, and connection through the lens of a long marriage. It’s intimate, emotional, and achingly beautiful — the kind of performance that lingers long after the last note.
Happening at Al Dana Grand Ballroom, Khorfakkan on November 16.
5. Minga of a House in Ruins – by Ebana Garin Coronel & Luis Guenel Soto
Inspired by Chile’s unique tradition of moving houses together as a community, this performance dives into themes of home, resilience, and renewal. Through movement, sound, and silence, it shows how even in moments of collapse, there’s always room to rebuild.
Happening at Al Qasimiyah School, Sharjah on November 21.

6. Souvenirs – by Claire & Anthony
Ever seen shadows dance? This dreamy, open-air show blends music, movement, and silhouettes in Art Square, Sharjah, exploring memory, imagination, and the beauty of change. It’s playful, poetic, and deeply human. Perfect for anyone who loves art that tugs at the heartstrings.
Happening at Art Square, Sharjah from November 28–29.
7. Magec / The Desert – by Radouan Mriziga
Wrapping up the festival is Magec/The Desert, a stunning dance and sound performance at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi. It’s a meditative journey through the desert, reflecting on what the landscape can teach us about respect, balance, and coexistence. This one’s pure magic.
Happening at Arts Square, Sharjah on November 30.
