On June 23rd, Amazon announced the opening of its largest delivery station in Abu Dhabi! This station is the second largest in the UAE and the largest in Abu Dhabi. This delivery station will be a 4,700-square-metre centre and will provide same-day and one-day delivery services to its customers in Abu Dhabi. Another benefit here is that this centre will create a lot of jobs for UAE people. This new centre is made just in time for Amazon’s Prime Day (an annual mega-sale event exclusively for Prime members), during, this sale deliveries and orders increase sharply.
“Built within Abu Dhabi’s ecosystem of innovation, our new delivery station brings world-class last-mile technology to the logistics and supply chain sector in the capital,” said Prashant Saran, director of operations for Amazon in the Mena region. “The range of jobs at this facility will help to nurture the city’s talent pool and prepare them for the digital future that Abu Dhabi is striving towards.”
