The first-ever digital twin and NFT of “Sacred Foods of India,” a limited-edition book by Michelin star awarded chef Vikas Khanna, was released by Akshaya.io, the world’s first “phygital” platform, on Thursday in Dubai. Mr. Sanjeh Raja paid $50000 to ICCA (International Centre of Culinary) for the first physical copy of the sandalwood book. This limited-edition book by Chef Vikas Khanna is his magnum opus and includes prasad recipes as well as recipes for delicacies that are offered at different holy locations across the nation.
Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) of the book have been made by Akshaya.io, allowing followers of Vikas Khanna and people who are interested in rare collectibles to acquire the original NFT alongside the real book. This purchase will verify the limited edition work’s uniqueness, and ownership of the item cannot be copied in any way. The book is packaged in either a highly limited edition (only 2) of a pure sandalwood box that was purchased with official Indian Government Certifications, or in an uniquely engineered Walnut and Maple hardwood box. The paper used comes from rare Italian sources that will last for centuries and is embossed with knurling to give the appearance of a canvas painting. The scripts are printed using Japanese vegetable ink. Even the glue is German-developed and -researched vegetable glue.
