The holiday period is approaching, and if you are planning a trip overseas, get to the airport early because Emirates expects to welcome over 700,000 travellers at DXB Terminal 3. According to a statement on the Emirates Airlines website, the busiest travel season will begin today, April 29, and will last for two weekends until May 9.
To compensate, Emirates has increased its services to provide travellers with a more pleasant travel experience. Emirates recommends arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before their flight to allow for check-in, health document checks, and immigration procedures.

If you’re travelling to the airport, allow for additional time because traffic is likely. Travellers can also utilise the vehicle park check-in service from 24 hours to six hours before departure. Emirates recommends that travellers take the Dubai Metro, which connects directly to Terminal 3.
Emirates’ biometric route in Terminal 3 also provides a smooth journey between particular check-in offices, Emirates dedicated lounges and boarding gates. Passengers can take the biometric route to fulfil all procedures without any document checks or queues. Please keep in mind that check-in and gate closing times will be carefully adhered to for aircraft to depart on time and without disrupting operations.
