From Thursday, January 9 to Tuesday, January 14, Coldplay performed 4 sold-out shows at Zayed Sports City Stadium, leaving fans in awe. Forget pink or blue balloons and confetti – how about Chris Martin announcing your baby’s gender in front of hundreds of thousands of people? That’s exactly what happened to one lucky couple when Chris helped them reveal they were having a baby girl with a sweet melody. The crowd cheers as the man found out he’s blessed to have a baby girls and the Coldplay Jumbo screen made sure every second of the happiness was caught on camera for the couple to look back on forever. 2. Chris Martin’s Flawless Arabic Skills
Chris Martin totally NAILED speaking Arabic at his shows! He greeted the crowd with heartfelt “Shukran,” “Habibi,” and even pulled off saying phrases like “Ana Farnan bkom fi Abu Dhabi,” Which means ‘I’m happy to be in Abu Dhabi.’ The audience completely erupted in cheers. Fans couldn’t stop gushing over Chris and how genuinely appreciated they felt about his gesture of speaking the local language.
3. Chris Doesn’t Want Bad Doctors In The Future
Imagine skipping an exam to attend a Coldplay concert – and then ending up on stage! That’s what happened to a group of students who came clean about bunking school mid-show. Chris invited them on stage and in a moment of funny banter he said “Thank you for being here, but please promise me you’ll go home and study tomorrow, or I’ll feel bad. Imagine if I come back to Abu Dhabi in twenty years and end up with a terrible doctor.” Laughter took over the entire stadium as fans cheered to Chris’ witty words. 4. A Sweet Surprise For Lucky Fans On Stage
Chris knows how to do his crowd work just right, and he has a very keen eye for spotting the best fans to call on stage. Fans from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan got the ultimate surprise when they were invited on stage to soak in the spotlight with the band. And it didn’t stop there, Chris took it a step further to ask fans what song they wanted him to sing and he played them exactly that as the bonus track for the night! Love was in the air during Coldplay’s final concert in Abu Dhabi! One fan’s sign that read, “Make him propose to me,” caught Chris’ attention. Not one to shy away from a romantic moment, he read it aloud and sang to the couple as the man dropped to one knee and asked his pretty lady the most important question in the world. Any guesses of what she said? The stadium full of lovesick fans erupted into cheers, for the millionth time, because when Chris says “Aww” you say “Aww” too!
