Vatican Foundation Gives Humanitarian Award To Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed

On Tuesday night, in a ceremony at Emirates Palace, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was recognised with the Man of Humanity award by a Vatican foundation. On behalf of Sheikh Mohamed, Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations accepted the award. Vatican’s Pontifical Foundation Gravissimum Educationis gave this award. This foundation supports learning projects and global education.

During the ceremony, a video was played which showed how the UAE helped 135 countries during the pandemic. Sheikh Mohamed’s efforts during the pandemic were also appreciated a lot.

In a statement, Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi, prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education, President of Pontifical Foundation Gravissimum Educationis and Ministry of Education Vatican, praised Sheikh Mohamed for his sustained humanitarian and global peace efforts. “Human fraternity has sustained nations, provided them with the energy, dedication, and resolve to persevere and to succeed,” he said. “In the spirit of human fraternity, we can all work together to promote the inclusion of all regions of the world in the progress of humanity. “The cooperation with the UAE has enabled us to eradicate religious and cultural misunderstandings and to promote education.”
