If you have stepped outside lately in Dubai, especially this weekend, you’ll have noticed that the weather has been a little out of sorts. Recently Strong winds and heavy rains have intruded on parts of Dubai, causing havoc in such areas by tearing down trees and flag poles. The stormy weather has caused great concern in the Country. So, in a proactive move to prioritise your safety and well-being, Dubai Municipality has taken swift action in response to the fluctuating weather conditions currently prevailing in the emirate. As of yesterday, August 6th, night swimming at beaches has been temporarily closed to ensure maximum protection during this period of unpredictable weather.

A Weather Alert In Dubai: Precautionary Measures Implemented

As the rain swept across the country over the weekend, Dubai Municipality wasted no time enacting precautionary measures to safeguard its residents and visitors. Public parks across Dubai were closed from 6 PM on Sunday, August 6, and following suit, night swimming at public beaches has been restricted starting from 7 PM on the same day. Your safety is the top priority for the authorities, and they are committed to providing a safe environment amidst weather fluctuations. The public parks and night swimming beaches will be closed until further notice; dates have yet to be finalised.

Dubai Municipality took to social media to announce these temporary closures, emphasising their dedication to ensuring your safety. With the temporary closure of night swimming at beaches, the authorities seek to provide a secure environment for all residents and visitors.
