Unlock Discounts Worth Over AED 17,000 With RTA’s New Nol Card – Everything You Need To Know

Did using the metro just get a little more exciting? This is great news for daily metro commuters, students, people working on a budget and anybody in general. Dubai RTA has rolled out a brand new Nol card that offers discounts worth over AED 17,000 on various products and services. Unfortunately, you cannot trade your existing Nol card for the new one, but it will only cost you AED 200 to switch over. I know, this definitely sounds like a lot of money to dish out at once. How To Get Your Hands On The New Nol Card

In the beginning, the Nol Travel Card will be available at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and some partner stores like Zoom and Europcar. You can purchase the card for AED 200, which will come with a balance of AED 19. At the end of the year you can renew your Nol card for a swift AED 150, making sure the discounts never stop.

Great Deals On Everything

According to RTA, this card can be used to pay for public transportation, parking, and a wide range of entertainment and experiences in Dubai. The new card also offers discounts of 5 to 10% at hotels, shops, adventure spots, entertainment facilities, and other partner locations around the city. Amr Abdelsamad, managing director of MDX Solutions, said there are currently over 100 partners and facilities, such as restaurants and entertainment spots, where the card is accepted. This number is expected to grow over time.

Future Plans

Right now, existing Nol card users can’t switch to the new Nol Travel Card, but the RTA is considering this option for the future. Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO of the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA, said this card aims to meet customers’ needs by integrating public transportation and city facilities into one payment method, with discounts exceeding 100% and a value of over AED 17,000.

Special Packages & Benefits

Salahaldeen Almarzouqi, director of the Automated Collection Systems Department, mentioned that the new card will have its own packages with various benefits and discounts. It’s a physical card now, but they plan to add a digital version with a barcode in the future.
