When Is The Last UAE Public Holiday For 2025?
The last public holiday of the year will be for Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day), which falls on Tuesday, December 2, and Wednesday, December 3. So, that’s already a sweet midweek break locked in. But here’s where the magic happens. With just a few well-timed days of annual leave, you could stretch that midweek breather into a full-blown end-of-year escape.
Here’s The Hack
If you take leave on Monday, December 1, Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5, you’re basically gifting yourself a nine-day holiday when you include both weekends. That means from Saturday, November 29, all the way to Sunday, December 7, you could be chilling on a beach, catching flights, or just catching up on sleep. Whatever suits your vibe is. I will personally be doing the latter.
A Longer Public Holiday In The Works
Now, here’s something to keep in mind. If you stay updated with Gulf Buzz, then you’ll know that The UAE public holiday law allows holidays to be moved to the start or end of the week to give residents longer breaks. So, if that happens and the National Day holidays shift to Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2, we’d already have a long weekend on our hands.
In that case, all you need to do is take off Wednesday, December 3, Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5, instead. And either which way you still end up with that glorious nine-day holiday window. A win-win no matter what.
A Perfect Way To End The Year
Since this will be the last public holiday of 2025, it’s your cue to end the year on a high note. Whether that means booking a quick getaway, spending extra time with family, or simply switching off your work emails and soaking in some well-deserved rest, this is your moment to make it count.
And if you’re already thinking ahead – the first public holiday of 2026 lands on Thursday, January 1. So, the good vibes continue right into the new year!
So, go ahead and mark those dates. Because with just a little planning, you can turn a regular midweek public holiday into the ultimate year-end break.
