Dubai Mangroves – Dubai
See what I mean by always over-the-top and spectacular – The Dubai Mangroves will be the world’s largest coastal regeneration project! This massive initiative will cover 72km of coastline and feature 100 million mangroves. Not only is this a massive environmental win, but it’s also set to boost ecotourism and biodiversity in the region. Aligned with Dubai’s 2040 Master Plan, this project is all about preserving coastal ecologies, offering carbon storage, supporting wildlife, and providing a natural shield against climate change effects like erosion and rising sea levels.
Moon World Resorts – Dubai
Just imagine a ginormous moon-shaped resort in the heart of Dubai – that’s what Moon World Resorts, a Canada-based company, has envisioned. While the exact location isn’t confirmed, developers across the Middle East have shown interest in making this $5 billion mega-resort a reality. Once complete, it’s expected to draw 10 million visitors, making it one of Dubai’s next major attractions.
Burj Binghatti – Dubai
Set to be the world’s tallest residential tower (there it is again), Burj Binghatti will rise over 100 floors in Dubai’s Business Bay. This collaboration between Binghatti Developers and luxury brand Jacob & Co. will feature ultra-luxurious two- and three-bedroom apartments, known as “The Sapphire Collection” and “The Emerald Collection.” The building’s exterior will be adorned with diamond-shaped spires, reminiscent of Jacob & Co’s iconic jewellery designs. It’s scheduled for completion in 2026, bringing with it world-class amenities like an infinity pool, spa, and concierge services offering everything from bodyguards to private chefs.
Analemma Tower – Dubai
Dubai’s skyline may soon feature a floating skyscraper, and it’s as wild as it sounds. The Analemma Tower, proposed by The Clouds Architecture Office, will dangle from an asteroid in space. Yes, you read that right! The idea is to place an asteroid in orbit around Earth, tethering a skyscraper to it with a high-strength cable. This futuristic structure wouldn’t just hover over Dubai; it would travel between the northern and southern hemispheres, returning to the same spot each day. Talk about a game-changer for architecture!
