Passengers flying into Dubai from the United Kingdom must provide a negative PCR test result obtained no more than 48 hours before their flight. The modification in safety regulations reduces the window from 72 hours to 48 hours, matching Dubai with limits in effect throughout the UAE.

Tighter limitations have been implemented in response to an upsurge in instances of the novel Omicron strain identified by authorities. Anyone passing through Dubai is subject to the 48-hour PCR test regulation as well. The United Kingdom has been taken off Abu Dhabi’s green list, which allows travellers to enter the city without having to go through quarantine protocols.
