The Pink Caravan Returns On 1 October
Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) is launching Pink Caravan’s 2026 Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign on 1 October. It will run all month across the UAE, with free screenings, awareness sessions and community events. It’s a nationwide effort, so wherever you are in the country, there’s a good chance something is happening near you.
A Weekend At Aljada, Sharjah
The Pink Caravan Community Event is back at Aljada in Sharjah from 2 to 4 October. Over three days, it turns into a space where health checks and family fun sit side by side. Eligible men and women can get free clinical breast examinations and mammograms through the Mobile Clinics on site. Yes, men too. Breast cancer isn’t only a women’s issue.
Not Just Screenings
The health checks are the main reason to go, but there’s plenty more happening around them. The programme includes educational workshops, community activities, gaming zones and children’s entertainment. You can bring the kids, get checked, and learn something useful, all in one visit.
So, Who Are Pink Caravan?
If you’re new to the campaign, here’s the quick version. Pink Caravan is an initiative by Friends of Cancer Patients, a non-profit, and it started in 2011. It was set up to tackle the lack of awareness and the misconceptions that still surround breast cancer in the UAE.
The Clinic That Comes To You
Over the years, the clinic has offered free services including mammograms, ultrasounds and pap smears.
