Catching yourself wearing a jacket inside buildings more than when you’re out and about? Started switching on the AC at night before you go to sleep? Or, the boss level of them all – you’re already wearing shorts and sunglasses outside! Get ready folks because these afternoons are about to get a whole lot warmer and much more humid. The UAE is entering the final stretch of winter, which means summer is just around the corner. Come with me, and I’ll share all the details you need to know about when summer officially starts in UAE.

The Last Phase Of Winter
Right now, we’re in what’s known as Scorpion Season, the third and final phase of winter. This period, which began on February 10 and lasts until March 20, signals the shift toward hotter days. Expect temperatures to fluctuate – some days will still feel cool, while others will remind you never to leave your Stanley filled with ice-cold water at home again. But not all is lost – there’s also a chance of increased rainfall during this time. My biggest tip would be to enjoy outdoor Iftars during Ramadan as much as you can, because sooner than you know it walking to your car at night will also be marked with sweat-stained shirts.
