The Al Hosn Application Is Now Mandatory For Download To Anyone Who Crosses The Abu Dhabi Border

The city of Abu Dhabi has updated its requirements for crossing the border. On February 1st, Monday, new rules came into place. All travelling to the city must have a negative COVID-19 test and the result should be shown on the Al Hosn application. For both Android and Apple users, this application is free to download. This app shows real time testing data and anyone who gets tested will have their results updated on the app when they are available.

Police in Abu Dhabi might ask you to show your test results on the app instead of certificates or text messages. People participating in the National Vaccination Programme must also show an active representation on the Al Hosn Application. It is mandatory for tourists arriving from the green list countries to take a PCR test on arrival and then again on the sixth day if they are still in the country (no need for quarantine). Travellers from other countries must present a negative PCR test on day eight of their quarantine to end it on day ten.
