Happening inside the fully air-conditioned Halls 1 and 2 of the OCEC in Madinat Al Irfan, Sports Spark transforms the space into a buzzing hub of energy, movement, and fun. Organised by OCEC in collaboration with Sabco Sport, this annual summer event is designed to bring the community together through sports and wellness. Yes, all without having to step out into the scorching heat. The best part? It’s not just for pros or athletes. This is about getting active in a way that’s fun, social, and totally accessible.
Over 20 Sports & Activities to Try
No matter what sport you enjoy (or want to try for the first time) there’s a good chance you’ll find it here. The venue is packed with over 20 different activities, including football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, pickleball, a full running track, and even a ninja-style obstacle course! There are tournaments, games, casual play areas, and fitness zones for those who just want to get a good workout in.
You can drop in daily, plan sessions with friends, or even take part in scheduled tournaments and challenges. Everything is designed to be fun and beginner-friendly, while also offering a bit of healthy competition for those who are up for it.
A Super-Fun Summer Camp For Kids
Got kids between 6 and 14 years old? Sports Spark’s Summer Camp is a fantastic way to keep them active and entertained during the break. Running from July 20 to August 14, the camp offers flexible booking options. Which means you can sign them up for a single week or the entire duration.
Camp timings are from 8 AM to 2 PM, and the schedule is packed with fun activities like football, basketball, creative workshops, life skills, and more. Aside from the sports, it’s also about making friends, building confidence, and having a great time in a safe, supervised environment!
Adults, Families, Corporates – Everyone’s Invited!
But don’t get me wrong, Sports Spark 2025 isn’t just for kids. There are plenty of daily sessions open to teens, adults, and even entire families. From 3 PM to 11 PM, you can book your preferred sport and get moving. Whether you’re coming with friends, organising a work team activity, or just need an evening boost of energy, there’s plenty of space for everyone.
In fact, companies and schools can even register as a group to give their employees or students access to the facilities. It’s a great way to encourage fitness, build teamwork, and shake up the usual routine.
Special Days & Exciting Extras
To make things even more inclusive, Sports Spark is also hosting women-only days on August 3 and 17. These sessions run from 3 PM to midnight and include activities like Zumba, athletics, sound therapy, and even e-gaming. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy some me-time or bring your girlfriends along for a full day of fun.
There are also Monday morning sessions led by Oman’s Consumer Protection Authority. Here, kids can learn about smart shopping and making healthy choices in a fun, interactive way.
