New Content Creation & Publishing Councils Formed By The Dubai Government

The government of Dubai is always doing things to better themselves. This new update is no exception, as HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Council, has announced that in accordance with HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai that they will develop and nurture Dubai’s media sector modernizing two new councils.

These councils are made up of nine people, headed by a chairman. Each of the teams must perform a selection of tasks to realize the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed as instructed by HH Sheikh Ahmed.

The duties of the council include proposing suggestions and recommendations regarding the creation or publishing of media content, serving as an advisory body on policies and work processes, submitting recommendations and policies for approval, proposing plans and initiatives to promote Emiratization and attracting and retaining talent in the content creation or publishing industry. Implementing international and regional best practices, and meeting periodically to submit reports and make recommendations.

Announcing the council formation on Twitter, HH Sheikh Ahmed said, “In line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed to develop and modernize Dubai’s media sector, we approved the formation of media advisory boards to improve the development process through recommendations and ideas. I personally follow the results and recommendations of the task forces. I am confident that their efforts will culminate in a comprehensive plan that will contribute to the development of the media industry and attract local talents who can make a difference.”
