Bigger, Brighter & Bolder
This year’s edition is curated by Artistic Director Khai Hori, alongside co-curators Alia Zaal Lootah, Munira Al Sayegh, and Mariam Alshehhi. Visitors can look forward to more than 19 light-based installations, including brand-new commissioned works by both Emirati and international artists. Expect glowing sculptures, interactive projections, and immersive experiences that bring Abu Dhabi’s landscapes to life.

New Adventures In Al Ain
For the very first time, Manar Abu Dhabi will expand into Al Ain, with installations set against the stunning backdrop of Al Qattara and Al Jimi Oases. These lush green sanctuaries, supported by ancient aflaj irrigation systems, will shine in a whole new way. Beautifully connecting the desert’s history with modern creativity. The Al Ain leg of the exhibit will open earlier, from November 1, coinciding with the Traditional Handicrafts Festival.
Jubail Island: The Heart Of The Exhibit
In Abu Dhabi, Jubail Island will once again be the star of the show, serving as the central hub of the exhibit. Surrounded by mangroves and waterways, it’s the perfect stage for breathtaking light installations that reflect the emirate’s blend of nature, heritage, and innovation.

More Than Just Art
It’s not just about the lights. This year comes with a packed public programme featuring talks, workshops, and live performances. It’s the perfect chance for visitors to dive deeper, meet artists, and explore the allure of the creativity up close. As part of the Public Art Abu Dhabi initiative, the exhibit isn’t only about creating Insta-worthy moments. It’s about shaping the city’s cultural identity and celebrating its landscapes in an unforgettable way.
With larger-than-life installations, immersive experiences, and the inspirational theme of The Light Compass, Manar Abu Dhabi 2025 is set to be one of the year’s most unforgettable cultural highlights.
