Which Areas Will Be Part Of The Master Beach Expansion Plan?
As part of the master plan’s Phase I, an impressive stretch of 54km public beaches will be brought to life, with a special focus on the development of Jebel Ali Public Beach in collaboration with Nakheel. This beach is set to become an eco-tourism hotspot, offering a plethora of diverse activities. To ensure sustainability, mangrove trees will be strategically planted along sections of the beach, not only providing protection against erosion but also creating habitats for marine animals.
Oh, and here’s something truly fascinating! Turtle enclosures, built in compliance with global standards for their protection, will grace the beach. By nurturing these enclosures, the beach will contribute to nationwide efforts to save and rehabilitate turtle species, ultimately returning them to their natural habitat. This initiative aligns perfectly with the broader goal of preserving the marine environment of the country.
The beach will also be lined with restaurants, food carts, and shops, offering delightful culinary experiences and opportunities for retail therapy. Families will find their own paradise with designated spaces for their enjoyment, beach camping adventures, and convenient parking areas.
The development of Al Mamzar’s Creek and Corniche is set to take place starting in June and aims to be completed by year-end. Brace yourself for an array of new public facilities that will enhance your beach experience. Pedestrian and cycling tracks will invite you to take scenic strolls or exhilarating rides, while the planting of mangrove trees along the Corniche section will not only beautify the area but also contribute to environmental sustainability.
And guess what? Al Mamzar public beaches will feature an exciting addition—a 4,000-meter cycling track! Get ready to pedal your way to fun and fitness while enjoying the beachside ambiance. Additionally, around 9% of the public beaches will be designated for night swimming, allowing you to embrace the enchanting allure of the sea under the starry sky.
Jumeirah Beach 2 and Umm Suqeim 1
In the short term, Jumeirah Beach 2 and Umm Suqeim 1 are in for some exciting changes. Retail kiosks will be constructed, ensuring that beachgoers have convenient access to various goods and services. Water sports enthusiasts will have a field day with new facilities tailored to their adventurous spirits, while the installation of smart safe lockers will provide peace of mind for those who wish to keep their belongings secure while enjoying the beach.
Looking further ahead, long-term initiatives are underway, exploring the introduction of new commercial investment opportunities in these areas.
