Reopening Dates To Know Before You Go
Jebel Jais will reopen in phases, so timing matters:
- Saturday, January 31, 2026
- Jais Flight (World’s Longest Zipline)
- 1484 by Puro (UAE’s Highest Restaurant)
- Saturday, February 7, 2026
- Jais Sky Tour (Multi-Zipline Experience)
- Note: The Red Rock area will remain closed until further notice due to ongoing maintenance.

Pay Attention! These Are The New Entry Rules
This is the biggest update for visitors: no more spontaneous drive-ups without a plan. Here’s how entry works now:
- Booked Guests: If you’ve reserved the zipline, sledder or restaurant, you’re good to go.
- Casual Visitors: Planning to enjoy the views, hiking trails or cycling routes? You’ll need a Viewing Deck Park ticket for AED 10.
The fee helps control crowd numbers and keeps the mountain experience safe and relaxed for everyone.
Why Jebel Jais Was Closed
In late December, Ras Al Khaimah experienced record-breaking rainfall. Some areas even received more than double their annual average in just 48 hours. This caused standing water, loose rocks and road safety concerns. As a precaution, Jebel Jais was temporarily closed to allow teams to conduct geological checks, drainage work, and road repairs.
Pro Tips For A Smooth Visit
- Dress In Layers: Temperatures can drop to 10°C or lower at the peak, even when Dubai feels warm.
- Book Early: Winter season along with the reopening hype means fast sell-outs! Especially at 1484 by Puro.
- Check the Weather: Mountain conditions change quickly. Always check official updates before driving up.

Don’t Have A Car? They’ve Got You Covered!
If you don’t have a car, don’t worry! There’s a weekend public bus service to Jebel Jais available until the end of April. It’s a stress-free option if you don’t feel like tackling the mountain drive yourself. Don’t forget to check official schedules and stops before planning your trip.
