Let’s Talk Dirhams
No need to beat around the bush, let’s get straight down to the dirham. If you’re planning to buy the new phone in the UAE, you’ll be happy to hear this news. The starting price For the iPhone 17 is expected to be AED 3,799. To give you some context, that’s about USD 899 in the US and INR 89,900 in India. That means the UAE is actually going to be one of the cheaper places to get your hands on it. Especially if you compare it to other countries where extra taxes usually bump up the prices of electronics.
The New Lineup Might Have A Little Surprise
This year, Apple might be shaking things up a bit. Along with the usual iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max, there’s talk of something new – say hello to the iPhone 17 Air. But what’s so exciting about that? Well, it’s supposed to be thinner and lighter than any iPhone we’ve seen before, I’m talking just 5.5mm thick at its thinnest point. But don’t let it’s thin facade fool you, this phone will still be packed with all the fancy features Apple-heads knows and love.
It’s also said that the phone will also come with a 6.6-inch OLED display and possibly a smaller Dynamic Island at the top of the screen to give it a cleaner look. And if you want to talk about camera, expect a single 48MP rear camera with a cool new elongated camera bar design, plus a 24MP front camera for sharp selfies and video calls.

What’s Happening With The iPhone 17 Pro Max?
Now for the Pro Max. It looks like Apple might be switching things up here too. Rumours suggest they’re testing out a new rear design, possibly mixing glass and aluminium to make the phone tougher but still lightweight. Another change could be the camera layout. Forget the usual square bump, we might see the cameras lined up horizontally across the back instead. Or Apple might just go for a wider, centred camera bump but keep the triple lenses in a new arrangement. Either way, it’s going to look a little different from what we’ve been used to.
More Power Under The Hood
As for the size, no major changes here. The Pro is expected to stick with a 6.3-inch screen, and the Pro Max will likely stay at 6.9 inches. But under the surface, Apple’s cooking up something special. The Pro models will probably run on the next-gen A19 Pro chip, built on fancy 3-nanometer tech. Translation? It’ll be faster, more efficient, and better at handling all the apps, games, and photos you throw at it.

So, Is The Price Worth Getting Excited About?
While nothing’s official yet, it’s clear that Apple’s going for lighter, faster, and sleeker this year. But is a starting price of AED 3,799 worth getting excited for? I guess we all just have to wait till September to see what the lines looks like outside the Apple store in Mall of the Emirates and Dubai Mall.
