A brand-new intercity bus route is rolling out this Friday, May 2, and it’s great news for every Dubai-Sharjah commuter! RTA just announced the launch of Route E308, which will travel between Stadium Bus Station in Dubai and Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah. And here’s the best part – what’s the fare you might ask? Big Changes Coming To Other Bus Routes Too
That’s not all! Starting the same day, the RTA is also introducing changes to several existing bus routes across Dubai. These updates are all about making your journey smoother, more efficient, and more comfortable. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s changing:
Key Route Updates
- Route 17: Now ends at Baniyas Square Metro Station instead of Al Sabkha Bus Station.
- Route 24: Tweaked within Al Nahda 1 to improve local coverage.
- Route 44: Will now serve Dubai Festival City via Al Rebat Street.
- Route 56: Extended all the way to DWC Staff Village.
- Routes 66 & 67: A new stop added at Al Ruwayah Farm – great news for those in that area.
Routes With Adjusted Stops Or Endpoints
- Route 32C: Now ends earlier between Al Jafiliya and Al Satwa. If you’re heading to Satwa, hop on Route F27 instead.
- Route C26: Bus stop shifted to Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 2 from Al Jafiliya.
- Route E16: Will now finish at Union Bus Station instead of Al Sabkha.
- Route F12: Shortened between Al Satwa Roundabout and Al Wasl Park, and now rerouted via Kuwait Street.
- Route F27: Now stopping at Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 2 instead of Al Jafiliya.
- Route F47: Slightly rerouted within Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
- Route F54: Extended to reach the new JAFZA South labour camp.
- Route X92: Moved from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Max Metro Land Side Bus Stop 1.
With all these updated and new bus routes, the goal is to make public transport the first choice for getting around Dubai!
