Dubai is chock-a-block with a whole range of restaurants, cafes and bars. However, there are those days that you want to try something distinct – something so adventurous that you’d probably remember it vividly for years to come. But First, What Exactly Is Immersive Dining?
We’re all well aware that food appeals to our tastebuds and teases our nostrils with its aroma. But what if I say that you could have food that tantalizes your tastebuds as well as awakens the other four senses too? That’s exactly what immersive dining is all about. You’d tuck into food that not only tastes delicious but also dazzle your eyes, tickle your ears, stir your touch, and even play with your sense of wonder. And immersive dining in Dubai has become quite a thing! Don’t believe me? Read on to find out the spots!

First off, you’d be getting a personal waiter who would usher you in and cater to you throughout. You’d be seated at an interactive table that would display your name and once the eight-course meal kicks in, you’d be greeted with gastro-theatre experiences that blur the territories between dining and adventure. 3D displays, AI artwork-lit walls and immersive installations – this venue is as futuristic as it can get! As a matter of fact, in between courses there are treasure hunts and interactive games, before innovative dishes grace out tables.

Every dish is a work of art, merging flavour with visual theatre while one stumbles upon Leonardo da Vinci, Mona Lisa, and chef Omar Sartawi through the eyes of Michelangelo, Picasso, Banksy, Warhol, Dalí, Van Gogh, and Pollock. This two-hour extravagant show runs all days from 8pm.

Is Dubai The First City To Venture Into Immersive Dining?
We wish we were the pioneers, but the world’s first immersive dining spot cropped up in…nope, not USA, not Singapore. It landed in Shanghai as a taste memory of Chef Paul Pirate who plated up dishes alongside black-and-white projections that made diners feel as if they were wandering through the woods. The restaurant, Ultraviolet, began in 2012 and is touted as the culinary version of The Matrix.
Alright, enough of trivia. Now tell me this – which immersive restaurant in Dubai and you going to visit first?
