The process of vaccination in the UAE started in the month of December 2020. Many cities in the UAE had arranged for vaccination centers where people could go and get vaccinated. But the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), has other plans for UAE. It plans to vaccinate half the population of UAE by the end of March 2021.
Until now, more than about 820,000 vaccinations have been administered in the interest of the people. In a weekly media meeting, NCEMA said that, ” We aim to focus on vaccination for the largest possible percentage of society, and access the acquired immunity resulting from vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control disease”.

In Abu Dhabi, a campaign with the moto and name “Choose to Vaccinate” has begun to encourage citizens and residents to consider getting vaccinated against COVID-19. The UAE government is mainly concerned with providing vaccines to people who are above the age of 18, people with a weakened immunity, elderly people or people with a chronic illness. After receiving the second dose, people no longer have to go through quarantine but they have to follow all the hygiene guidelines such as social distancing and wearing a mask. Well, taking the vaccine is completing up to you, but the NCEMA encourages you to do so!
