A Celebration Like No Other
The Sheikh Zayed Festival is one of the UAE’s most iconic cultural events, celebrating the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the rich heritage of the Emirates. This edition promises more than 4,000 cultural events, 750 large-scale shows, and 20,000 participants from around the world. It’s a full-on celebration of art, music, food, and tradition that brings people together under the stars. The festival is open daily from 4pm to midnight, and until 1am on weekends and public holidays.

A Union Day Extravaganza You Can’t Miss
One of the biggest highlights this year will be the 54th UAE Union Day celebrations, which will take centre stage with traditional performances, raffles, musical concerts, and an incredible lineup of fireworks, laser, and drone shows. Expect the sky to light up in true UAE fashion. Bright. Bold, and unforgettable!
A Walk Through Emirati Heritage
The beloved Heritage Village will once again be a star attraction. Taking visitors on a journey through the UAE’s traditions and authentic way of life. From heritage pavilions and traditional markets to live folk performances, this area beautifully captures the nation’s cultural soul.
You can also witness exciting heritage and sporting competitions, including Dhow Sailing Races, Falconry Competitions, the Zayed Grand Camel Race, and even an Emirati Traditional Cuisine Contest. Plus, the Ramadan Sports Tournament (held with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council) adds an extra layer of excitement to the season.
A Festival Showcasing Innovation & Sustainability
The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award Pavilion will shine a spotlight on sustainability and innovation. Showcasing the UAE’s achievements in agriculture and livestock production. Several national and community organisations will also participate. Including Memory of the Nation, Abu Dhabi Majalis, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, each with their own engaging exhibits and activities.

A Global Cultural Experience
Adding to the magic, 22 countries will take part in the festival. Each presenting national pavilions filled with cultural displays, traditional crafts, and performances that highlight the diversity of global traditions. From food to art to handmade treasures, the international pavilions and global markets promise a vibrant mix of cultures. All of which reflect the UAE’s openness and its role as a global cultural hub.
Music, Lights & New Year’s Magic
As always, the festival is pulling out all the stops for New Year’s Eve. Featuring a jaw-dropping display of over 6,000 drones, fireworks, and laser shows to welcome 2026 in dazzling style. The night will also include children’s activities, musical performances, and special surprises for visitors of all ages.
And don’t miss the Liwa Nights concert series. It will bring top Arab and international artists to the stage for weekly evening performances. To top it all off, fireworks will light up the sky every Saturday at 10 pm.
