Your Guide To DFS Festivities
This year’s edition, running from Friday, December 6, to Sunday, January 16, 2025, will feature a stunning lineup of events across the city, making it the perfect time to soak in Dubai’s festive atmosphere. Let’s take a look at what we can expect:
1. Fireworks To Light Up the Night
You can catch breathtaking fireworks shows every night during the festival:
- Dubai Festival City Mall: Enjoy nightly displays at 8:30 PM, lighting up the skyline in all its glory.
- Hatta: Watch the Hajar Mountains sparkle with pyrotechnics every Friday and Saturday.

2. Drone Shows Take Over The Skies
If you’re a fan of drone shows, you’re in for a treat! The free-to-watch drone performances at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, are a festival highlight. Here’s what to expect:
- Two Shows Daily: Catch them at 8 PM and 10 PM every evening.
- Themes:
- December 6–26: A tribute to 30 years of DSF.
- December 27–January 12: A mix of tradition and modernity with dynamic beats and innovative sound effects.
- Pyro-Drones: Special shows featuring 150 drones equipped with fireworks are scheduled for Friday, December 13, and Friday, January 11. These performances will leave you in awe!
- You can also expect to see skydivers perform extraordinary stunts.

3. Interactive Installations Across the City
This year, Dubai Lights is back, transforming iconic destinations with immersive light installations. Created by talented international artists, designers, and architects, these displays will pop up across:

- Dubai Design District
- Al Marmoom
