What Is Bus On Demand?
Bus On Demand flips the usual public transport experience. Instead of walking to a fixed stop and waiting, you simply book your ride through the app. Just enter your pickup point and destination, and a shared vehicle will come to you. It operates similarly to a taxi, but it’s part of the public transport system. This means you get affordable rides that operate on set service hours. Each vehicle can accommodate up to 13 passengers, making it a practical option whether you’re commuting solo or with a small group.
Bus On-Demand Is Now Available At These Two Locations – For FREE!
The service has now expanded to Al Qusais and Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), giving more residents access to this flexible way of getting around. To celebrate the rollout, rides in these two areas are completely free until Sunday, 12 April. So if you live there, or plan to visit, it’s the perfect time to try it out without spending a Dirham.

Bus On Demand operates throughout the week with slightly extended hours on weekends:
