Dubai marked a major national milestone this week as DAMAC Group led a city-wide tribute celebrating 20 years since the accession of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as Ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE. To mark the occasion, DAMAC organised two spectacular drone shows on 4 January, transforming Dubai’s night sky into a moving tribute. Taking place at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) and additional locations across the city, the shows ran at 6:45pm and 9:30pm, drawing crowds eager to witness the visual celebration of the milestone.
The drone displays symbolised Dubai’s journey over the past two decades — forward-looking, bold and technologically driven.
Iconic DAMAC Developments Join the Tribute
The celebration extended beyond the sky. DAMAC’s most recognisable developments across Dubai were adorned with special commemorative banners, including Safa One, DAMAC Tower by Paramount, DAMAC Lagoons, DAMAC Hills, DAMAC Hills 2, DAMAC Heights, and Cavalli Tower.
Together, the displays formed a city-wide message of appreciation, reinforcing the role of visionary leadership in shaping Dubai’s skyline and global reputation.
