Paying for parking in Dubai is really adding up these days, I mean AED 6 per hour during peak hours is no small fee. Personally I don’t drive, but watching so much money disappear from my friends pockets every time we head out definitely hurts (not as much as it must hurt them, I’m sure). But I think I’ve found the perfect solution for your parking woes – Dubai has just launched a new parking subscription plan, and it’s meant to save you a ton on your monthly parking costs. I know, what a relief, right? Come with me, and I’ll show you how much money you could be saving each month with Dubai’s new parking subscription plan.

What Do The New Parking Zone Letters Mean?
Dubai’s new parking system is divided into 2 sets of zones zones:
- Standard areas like A, B, C, D and more
- Premium areas will be marked like AP, BP, CP, and DP (the “P” stands for premium)
So, if you see a ‘P’ in the zone code, that means slightly higher parking charges during busy times.
When Does Parking Cost More?
Premium zones now have peak-hour pricing, so expect to pay more during these times:
- Peak hours:
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Price: AED 6 per hour
- Off-peak hours:
Price: AED 4 per hour
These timings and rates apply only on weekdays – Sundays and public holidays are excluded.
Parking Subscriptions
If you park often in the same areas, a parking subscription might be a smart move. There are two options, depending on where you usually park:
1. Plots Only Subscription
Valid only in zones B and D (not accepted in A, C, H, J, K)
Duration | Price |
---|---|
1 month | AED 250 |
3 months | AED 700 |
6 months | AED 1,300 |
12 months | AED 2,400 |
2. Roadside + Plots Subscription
Covers zones A, B, C, and D
- You can park for up to 4 hours roadside
- Or up to 24 hours in a lot
Duration | Price |
---|---|
1 month | AED 500 |
3 months | AED 1,400 |
6 months | AED 2,500 |
12 months | AED 4,500 |
Before You Subscribe
Here are a few key things to keep in mind before signing up:
- You can link up to 3 vehicles to one subscription (if they’re registered under the same Dubai traffic file) — but only one vehicle can be active at a time. You can switch between them every 30 minutes.
- If your car is registered outside of Dubai or under a company, you can only add one vehicle.
- No refunds on subscriptions, so double-check your plan before buying.
- You can’t downgrade from the full plan (Roadside + Plots) to just Plots.
- Want to change your vehicle info? There’s a AED 100 fee for that.
Dubai’s new parking subscription plan might just be a more feasible way to budget your car expenses for the month. Will you be subscribing?
