Sheikh Hamdan recently inaugurated Facebook parent company Meta’s new offices in Dubai Internet City. According to the business, the metaverse is essentially a virtual reality online environment and the next phase in the “evolution of social connection.” The new Meta offices, according to Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, “its partnerships with major international technology companies within an ambitious vision aimed at pioneering the creation of the future.”

The Dubai Meta office will serve as the MENA region’s regional headquarters, assisting more than 3 billion worldwide users. “Dubai’s infrastructure and business environment has promoted the emirate as a hub for major technology companies around the world. Today, Dubai Internet City hosts 95,000 employees working and living in Dubai,” said Sheikh Hamdan.
