This Ramadan, a special community initiative in Dubai is offering free eye check-ups, reading glasses, and even funding for eye treatments and surgeries for those who need them. The campaign is led by Noor Dubai Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving eye health, in partnership with the AKCAF Association, a community group representing Kerala college alumni in Dubai. Come with me, and I’ll share all the details you need to know.

What Free Services Are Being Offered?
So far, around 700 people have received eye screenings, and over 200 reading glasses have been distributed. Here are the free services being offered this Ramadan:
- Free eye screenings to check for vision problems
- Reading glasses for those with difficulty seeing up close
- Medication and surgeries for those who need further treatment
A Community Effort
Dr. Manal Taryam, CEO of Noor Dubai Foundation, emphasised that not only is this programme about helping those who need it with free check-ups, but also ensuring long-term eye health for the community. If needed, patients will be referred to specialised hospitals for further treatment.
This initiative is part of a larger mission to make quality eye care accessible to all – If you or someone you know could benefit from a free eye check-up, this is the perfect opportunity to get the care you deserve!
