1. Pepperoni Comedy Club
You walk into a diner with mismatched vintage décor, a candy-wrapped glass bar, a pinball machine in the corner, and the smell of fresh pizza in the air. Already a great night, right? Now add a stage with some of the region’s funniest comedians on it. That’s Pepperoni Comedy Club for you. This is UAE’s first official comedy club, wrapped in an American-Italian soul, with rustic pastas, cheesy slices, and big laughs all night long. Created in collaboration with, none other than, radio personality Kris Fade. It’s a refreshing diner-comedy club hybrid that sits right on the buzzing 25 Jump Street strip at One Central.

2. The Laughter Factory
Nearly three decades in, and The Laughter Factory is still the one everyone talks about. As the UAE’s longest-running comedy tour, it has essentially grown up alongside Dubai itself. After years of popping up at venues across the city, it now has a permanent home inside The Agenda in Media City. Each month brings a fresh lineup of three top comedians, many of whom have appeared on hit UK and US TV shows. Past names include Russell Peters, Michael McIntyre, Dara O’Briain, Mickey Flanagan, Jason Manford, Sarah Millican, and so many more. Tickets start from AED 140, and shows are strictly for guests aged 21 and above.

3. Mad Cat Comedy
Founded by Dubai-based comedian Miqdaad Dohadwala, Mad Cat started with one simple goal – to create more stage time and build a real stand-up comedy scene in the UAE. What began as a small independent show has since grown into the most active stand-up comedy platform in the UAE, running regular weekly shows, open mics, and special events with local talent and international headliners. Shows run every Friday and Saturday night at venues in TECOM and Al Seef Dubai, and the vibe is exactly what Friday nights were made for. Their long-running Politically Incorrect nights and M.O.R.O.N.S show are famously un-filtered and genuinely funny. No cringe, all laughs. Tickets are around AED 70 including a drink, and Friday nights come with some legendary sweet potato fries on the side.

4. The Courtyard Playhouse
Stand-up is one person, a mic, and their best material. Improv is what happens when a group of comedians has absolutely no plan and somehow makes it the funniest thing you’ve ever watched. The Courtyard Playhouse is where that magic lives in Dubai. It’s also the UAE’s only KHDA-licensed improvisation theatre and training centre, which tells you just how seriously they take what they do. Regular events include Battle of the Maestros on Wednesdays, with a whole calendar of shows to explore. And perhaps the best part? Admission to certain shows is free. Just RSVP, arrive early to claim your seat, and donations are welcomed at the end. A proper night out for next to nothing.

5. Dubomedy
Before Dubai had a comedy scene, it had Dubomedy. Running since 2008, this community group has been going strong for a very long time. Today, Dubomedy runs its Sunday Night Comedy at Social Distrikt, keeping things consistent and easy to fit into your weekend. Events range from ticketed headline shows at AED 100-200 to free open-mic nights where aspiring comedians test brand-new material.

6. Comedy Kix
If you love discovering talent before they blow up, Comedy Kix is the place to be. Comedy Kix curates and hosts everything from open mic nights at venues across Dubai to theatre shows, corporate events, and private engagements. They run weekly open mics at several venues around the city and also offer stand-up workshops with individual and group classes.
