It was a big night for Dubai Basketball as they stepped onto one of Europe’s most intense courts for their very first ABA League semi-final. The energy in Belgrade’s Štark Arena was electric, but the challenge was just as fierce. Facing off against basketball heavyweights Partizan Mozzart Bet, Dubai gave it their all – but in the end the home took the win. But even though Dubai didn’t walk home with a win this time, that doesn’t mean their game is over. Come with me to find out how Dubai is bring their next game home to Coco-Cola Arena this week.

It’s Not Over Yet
Despite the scoreline, Dubai Basketball is still turning heads in their debut ABA League season. Reaching the semi-finals in their very first campaign is no small feat, and they’ve already made history as the only new club to beat Partizan this season. Head coach Jurica Golemac kept things real after the game: “We lost possession too easily and committed too many turnovers to stay competitive at this level. But this team has character, and we’ve already proven we can compete with the best – including a win over Partizan at home. We’ll go back, analyse the game, regroup, and come out stronger.”

Ready For Game 2 This Weekend
Now it’s Dubai’s turn to bring the energy home. The second leg of the semi-finals will take place at Coca-Cola Arena on Thursday, 29 May – and the team needs the city to rally behind them. “We need our fans more than ever,” Coach Golemac added. “Their energy and support at Coca-Cola Arena can make a real difference. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re not done yet – and we want to take this journey forward with the whole city behind us.”
