What’s Being Built?
This ambitious project covers a significant stretch of Al Qudra Road, starting from the intersection with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, continuing through Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, and stretching all the way to Emirates Road. Here’s what’s changing on the road:
- 2.7 kilometers of brand-new bridges, helping cars move more freely over intersections and cutting down on traffic build-up.
- 11.6 kilometers of expanded roadways, meaning wider lanes and more space for everyone.
- A massive increase in capacity – once complete, the road will be able to handle up to 19,200 vehicles per hour!
Why Is The Road Project So Important?
This upgrade is more than just concrete and asphalt. The whole idea is to ease traffic congestion, especially in areas that are becoming busier with new housing and businesses. Al Qudra Road has become a vital route for people living in newer residential communities, and this project ensures that traffic flow stays smooth as more people move in. On top of that, better road infrastructure means shorter travel times, less stress during commutes, and improved safety for drivers.
