The UAE has declared that remote learning would be introduced in all schools, colleges, and training centres across the nation beginning January 3, 2022, in the first two weeks of the second semester of the academic year.
The Ministry of Education made the statement during the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority’s (NCEMA) monthly media conference on Tuesday. The coronavirus situation and its changes will be monitored regularly to facilitate the safe return of children and protect the safety of instructors and administrative personnel at academic facilities across the country.
The Education Ministry adopted additional restrictions, including the need that all children produce a negative PCR test that was performed within the previous 96 hours before returning to school. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced on Tuesday that normal studying within the classroom on campus would resume on January 3, 2022.
“Regular face-to-face education in Dubai private schools will continue in the second semester while the collective classroom and extracurricular activities will be discontinued. Canteens will close for the first two weeks of the semester and gatherings and school trips will be suspended,” it said
Meanwhile, schools in the other emirates will transition to distance learning for two weeks beginning January 3, 2022, according to the Ministry of Education at the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority’s (NCEMA) weekly media conference on Tuesday.
