Everything To Know About The Quadrantids Meteor Shower
The Quadrantids are considered one of the best annual meteor showers in the world, known for producing bright, fast-moving shooting stars. This meteor shower originates from a “rock comet” or asteroid called 2003 EH1, discovered in March 2003. As asteroid orbits the Sun, it sheds debris, leaving a trail behind. Every January, when Earth passes through this trail, the particles burn up in our atmosphere, creating stunning streaks of light across the night sky.
How To Watch The Meteor Shower?

For this meteor shower, timing plays a crucial role. Most meteor showers peak over several nights, however, the Quadrantids has a very short viewing window. The best time to watch is from Saturday, 3rd January from 11 PM into the early hours of Sunday, 4th January. If you miss it, and you’ll have to wait another year. Pro Tip: Download a stargazing app like SkyView Lite. It helps you identify stars, planets, and meteors by simply pointing your phone at the sky and even shows you where to look for peak activity.
Everything To Know About The Wolf Supermoon?
A supermoon occurs when a full moon appears at its closest point to Earth. This makes it look noticeably larger and brighter than usual. The Wolf Supermoon gets its name from old folklore. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, wolves were often heard howling during this time of year. However, this is based on tradition rather than fact. Regardless, it’s a beautiful sight that adds extra magic to the night. And you get to watch two cosmic instances in one night!
